About Us

I was frustrated. Nothing but brake lights for miles. None of the radio stations had reported anything, so there we sat... for hours. It was during those long waits in traffic this website was born. An information portal to help us, the commuters.

My wife Ann and I had recently started commuting together to our jobs in Orange County. It started simple enough. A single page with live traffic maps, radio stations, and access to the California Highway Patrol logs.

Eventually found links to live Caltrans traffic camera feeds, the news feeds, and began collecting fun things to do and pictures. I love photography and just started working on a website to help people find the right camera and take a good picture www.flashclip.net.

I love how pictures come out along Ortega Highway and intend on doing more with the gallery. You may not believe this, but the picture at the top of each page was taken by me at about 50mph (Ann was driving, I promise) just as we rounded the last corner out of the Elsinore Valley.

Aside from photography, I hope to expand the referral list of local businesses. Not a phone book, but a list of the people you remember and use... the handyman, car guy, best little food place, etc.

The latest real addition to the website is CLUB 74, our commuter forum. This is a place for us all to connect and discuss the goings on. Stop on by and register I promise we aren't selling email addresses or sending spam so join the Club and say hello.

Hope to hear from you soon. Until then, thank you for stopping by, feel free to email us suggestions or comments. Be safe and see you on the highway.
