Caltrans has begun construction on a 3 mile section of Ortega Highway
and work will continue until 2010. For more details tune your radio to
AM 620 (Corona) and AM 1620 in San Juan Capistrano to hear the Caltrans
announcement. The highway is OPEN during the day, and will close
nightly from 8:30pm to 4:30am.

Directions to Ortega Highway
From the east
I-15 to Lake Elsinore
west on Central Ave. Follow that to a T and then turn right.
Go about 1/2 mile to the light and turn left on Riverside Drive
The road curves to the left onto Grand Ave.
Follow Grand to a 3-way stop and turn right onto 74 Ortega Highway.
From the west
Take the 5 freeway to San Juan Capistrano
Exit Ortega Highway East
Watch your speed, this area is heavily patrolled.
